Juliana Uribe VillaJuliana Uribe Villa was born in Medellin, Colombia. She graduated from La Joya Academy of Advertising Arts in San Diego, California, were she lived for 3 years. After returning to her home city of Medellin, she studied at the Escuela de Bellas Artes, were she obtained a fine arts artist degree.
The artist has made her place in contemporary textile art world, exhibiting her work in Colombia, as well as internationally; She took part of the WTA Biennials, at Madrid, Spain in 2019, and at Montevideo, Uruguay in 2017, were she obtained the first place in the big format category. The work of the artist is recognized for her frayed textile installations of varied thematics and formats. She also works on other technics such as sculpture, engraving and painting, among others, making her a versatile and multiphase artist.
